Thanksgiving at Home
This year we hosted our first thanksgiving dinner. We invited our friends, Lee & Becky Plummer, from our fellowship. It was fun to share Thanksgiving with them since they don’t normally celebrate Thanksgiving because they are British.
I made a chicken instead of turkey for two reasons. One – my toaster-oven (we don’t have a “real” oven) would not fit a turkey. Two – since turkey is not a popular dish in China they are expensive.
Lee jumped in and helped make the gravy!
We had a delicious spread! I made mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, stuffing & chicken and applesauce. I also made a jello salad that I forgot to put out. (oh well) Everything was delicious!!!
